St Edmund Campion School is built on the Gospel values. It is a place of fun, love and laughter. All children engage in a rich, bespoke curriculum that is ambitious, innovative, creative and stimulating -equipping them with the essential knowledge and skills needed to succeed in life and be the best that they can be.
We aspire to grow and nurture articulate thinkers who have a genuine love of learning. We create independent, active learners, who are able to think critically and overcome barriers. Our curriculum, based on the National Curriculum is inclusive and challenging for all.
Throughout their learning journey at St Edmund Campion we aim to provide our children with the cultural capital they need to succeed in life and the confidence and courage to pursue their dreams, knowing that nothing will stand between them and their goals.

Our curriculum is focused on the development of children’s knowledge and skills across all primary subjects, with the aim of ensuring children are ready for the next stage of their learning. Knowledge underpins and enables the application of skills. We are committed to a broad and balanced curriculum, where we value the integrity of each subject. We believe that this is important to make the curriculum meaningful and relevant to pupils.
It is our responsibility to develop the English and Maths skills for all our pupils. Using the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework and National Curriculum as a basis, age-appropriate progression in knowledge for each core and foundation subject has been identified. This has been mapped out to ensure coverage of identified knowledge is secured across KS1 and KS2. We carefully select the sequence of when, what and how knowledge is taught and subject leaders and senior leaders work actively to review this aspect regularly. Our curriculum is coherent, sequenced and relevant based on our core values to ‘WORK HARD, BE KIND AND SHOW RESPECT.’
